Parent Dogs
Our parent dogs are first and foremost beloved members of our family. They live full, enriched lives on our family farm, surrounded by daily interaction, structure, and affection. Each dog is thoughtfully chosen not only for health and structure, but for temperament, stability, and the ability to thrive as a true family companion.

We believe exceptional puppies begin with exceptional parents. By prioritizing the wellbeing, balance, and happiness of our dogs, we are able to raise puppies who are confident, healthy, and well prepared to transition seamlessly into family life.
Dude
Meet Dude, our long haired purebred German Shepherd and the heart of our breeding program. Dude has been part of our family since 2020 and is a true representation of the temperament and structure we strive to preserve in our dogs.

He is known for his easygoing, affectionate nature and his playful, goofy personality. These qualities consistently shine through in his puppies, who are often praised for their loving temperaments and ability to bond deeply with their families. It’s not uncommon for people to fall in love with Dude the moment they meet him.
​
From a structural and health standpoint, Dude has been thoroughly evaluated and cleared by our veterinarian. He has a strong, straight back, solid movement, and has never shown any concerns with his hips. He is a large, well built male with a calm, confident presence that balances beautifully with his gentle personality.

Bella
Bella is one of the heart dogs of Prairieland Breeders and a wonderful mama to her puppies. She is a purebred long haired German Shepherd with a gentle, thoughtful nature and a deep loyalty to her people. Bella loves being close to her family and is happiest when she is following everyone around the farm, quietly keeping watch.

She is the daughter of our foundation dame, Roxy, from Roxy’s first litter, and carries forward many of her mother’s best qualities. Bella is the most reserved of our dogs, with a soft, sensitive temperament, yet she still has a playful side that comes out with those she knows and trusts. Her calm demeanor and nurturing instincts make her an excellent mother, and her puppies are often noted for their sweet dispositions and strong family bonds.

From a health and structure standpoint, Bella has been cleared by our veterinarian, has a straight, strong back, and has never shown concerns with her hips. She represents the balance we strive for in our breeding program: sound structure, stable temperament, and a dog that fits seamlessly into family life.

Willow
Willow is a joyful, affectionate presence at Prairieland Breeders and brings a wonderful balance of playfulness and sensitivity to our program. She has a fun loving personality and truly enjoys running, playing, and being active, yet she is deeply in tune with her people and attentive to those around her.

She has a sweet, gentle disposition and forms strong bonds with her family. Willow reads energy well and responds with calm affection, making her a pleasure to live with and work alongside. Her temperament reflects the qualities many families look for in a German Shepherd: engaged, loyal, and emotionally connected.
​
Willow comes from completely different breeding stock and was selected intentionally to strengthen our program through sound genetics, structure, and temperament. She fits seamlessly into family life and represents the type of dog we aim to produce for active homes who value companionship, stability, and connection.
Roxy
Roxy was the first dame and the very beginning of Prairieland Breeders. She was more than a breeding dog. She was a family companion, a steady presence on our farm, and the heart behind the program we have today.
​
Roxy loved being close to her people and could usually be found following me around the farm, always content just to be nearby. She had a sweet, loyal nature and a calm confidence that made her a natural mother. Over her lifetime, she produced three healthy litters, all known for their beautiful traditional German Shepherd markings, sound temperaments, and strong bonds with their families.
​
She was an exceptional mom and passed many of her best qualities on to her puppies. Most notably, she is the mother of Bella, and anyone familiar with Bella will recognize Roxy’s influence in her temperament, structure, and devotion to her people.
​
Roxy’s legacy lives on through her offspring and through the values she helped shape at Prairieland Breeders. She will always be remembered as the foundation of our breeding program and a deeply loved member of our family.
